Most of the Facebook users may not aware that Facebook tracking its users using the new Off-Facebook activity feature. Facebook collect your activity on other websites and apps, then uses to show you relevant ads. You can find this information on Facebook app. Here you can find the summary of that monitored information and clear it from your account. However Facebook claimed that these data used for showing relevant adds.

After I checked my Off-Facebook Activity, I surprised it monitored my bank data too with bank app. Now a days people are using Facebook logins to access various websites including banking and finances. In addition some studies told Facebook proven to be notorious to leak data it can cause harm to them either financially or personally. It is important to understand that Facebook is collecting all the data from users even when they are offline. 

How To Turnoff the OFF-Facebook Activity

  1. Open the Facebook App and navigate to Settings & Privacy.
  2. Tap this and choose Settings option.
  3. Navigate to “Your Facebook information”, here you can see “Off-Facebook activity”
  4. Tap the “Off-Facebook activity”, here you can find what are all the apps and websites Facebook monitoring your data.
  5. Here user can clear their tracked history by using “Clear History” option.

  7. User can turn off future activity by using the “Turn Off” tab.

  9. After turning off this activity this will prevent you from logging in to apps and websites with Facebook.
